Phone Scam Alert! York County Residents Lose Thousands as Scammers Pose as Sheriff’s Deputies

YORK COUNTY, S.C. (CN2 NEWS) – The York County Sheriff’s Office says residents have fallen victim to phone scams, resulting in thousands of dollars lost.

Authorities say callers are now impersonating Sheriff’s Deputies in attempt to take money from those who answer the phone.
