CN2 Employment

Position Available:

INTERNSHIPS

News Internship (Unpaid)

CN2 offers internships throughout the year, but students must be able to receive college credit and pass a background check.

This internship is designed for students interested in ultimately working on-air or behind the scenes of a TV news program. Interns will assist the producer and reporters in researching stories, assist with show scripts and getting the show ultimately on the air. That includes but is not limited to: writing scripts, organizing assignments, answering phones, gathering information, timing segments, editing & logging. Also may be asked to help during production: rolling teleprompter, working studio cameras etc..

Interns will have the opportunity to accompany the CN2 News crews in the field. Some exceptional candidates may even be sent out on vo or vo/sot alone or to check police reports. Interns have the opportunity to shoot video, stand-ups and put together full packages. This is designed to be a learning opportunity, where the student can extend their television broadcasting education beyond the classroom. Students will get out of an internship what they put into it.

This is a unique opportunity for a unique individual. The student must be excited about television, must be assertive and a team player. CN2 is only interested in individuals who are looking to continually grow and improve themselves…we strive for excellence on a daily basis and want people in our newsroom who share the same drive. Staff is happy to critique work if there’s interest.

Interested candidates should send an email with your resume to News Director, Laurabree Monday at: news@cn2.com
