Tega Cay Family’s Boat Broken Into at Tega Cay Marina

TEGA CAY, S.C. (CN2 NEWS) A Tega Cay family is waiting for answers after they say their boat was was broken into at the Tega Cay Marina over the weekend.

On this past Sunday, July 27th, the family says they discovered the outside covers and cabin door of their Cabin Cruiser broken into with trash flooding the inside.

They believe the incident occurred on Saturday, but these details have not been confirmed.
Tega Cay Police did say they believe it was a group of teenagers, simply up to no good.

The family says someone came to make a mess, have a good time and leave. They say the Cabin Cruiser was locked, buttoned up and protected. The family adds, boat owners should keep no valuables or alcohol on their boats.

They’ve been housing their boat at the marina for 7 years. They say other neighbors have experienced similar situations with items stolen from their boats.

For now, they hope the marina ups their security protocols by adding cameras and building gates at the entrances of each dock.
