South Carolina Highway Patrol Respond to Fatal Collision on I-77 Near Mile Marker 87

YORK COUNTY (CN2 NEWS) South Carolina Highway Patrol responding to a fatal collision on I-77 southbound near mile marker 87.

The accident happening this past Saturday around 2:35 AM.

Sherman Webster was traveling south on I-77 when he struck a disabled 2009 Ford Focus that was illegally parked along the roadway.

After striking the victim’s vehicle, Webster struck the vehicle’s owner who was standing outside of the car.

The owner of the Ford Focus was fatally injured. Sherman was transported to Atrium Health’s Carolinas Medical Center, to be treated for minor injuries.

The accident is still being investigated by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
