CammWess Places 4th Runner Up On NBC’s “The Voice” Finale

(CN2 NEWS) CammWess a 22-year-old Winthrop University student, places 4th on NBC’s “The Voice” finale show.

The local singer, spent most of his time on the show on “Team Legend,” where he was coached by his idol John Legend.

Before his finale performance he thanked Legend for his experiences on the show, saying he’s heavily influenced by Legend’s music. CammWess saying he can remember one of his first notable performances, at the Essence Music Festival, where he’d first met Legend.

CammWess wrapped up the finale Monday night by singing Prince’s “Purple Rain” and his original song, “Save It for Tomorrow.”

Before his debut as a contestant on  season 18 of “The Voice,” CammWess shared with his coach John Legend, “you know this is meant the world to me, getting to work with you… It really has been magical.”
