DETENTION OFFICER: Chester County detention officer charged with sexual misconduct

A former Chester County detention officer has been charged with sexual misconduct with an inmate of a correctional facility according to the Chester County Detention Center Website.
23 year old Justin Bates was hired as a detention officer by former Chester County Sheriff Alex Underwood.
The current Sheriff Max Dorsey. Dorsey says he fired Bates last month. In a statement to CN2 News, Dorsey said, “I received information relating to improper conduct. Upon receiving the information, Justin Bates was immediately fired. I requested SLED to investigate, and these charges are a result of that investigation.” In a separate case – just days ago – Chester Police arrested Bates for possession of fentanyl.
