ROCK HILL, S.C. — It’s called the first of its kind in the state.
York Prep Academy has announced the location of its second campus.
The new school will open in the fall of 2022 and will be located 12 miles from its main campus.
The new campus will be located in a new community called Kettlesong.
York Prep, which is a free public charter school, will open it’s new school around the Place-Based Education model, which officials say has a proven track by immersing students in the landscape, heritage and culture of the area with plenty of hands-on opportunities.
YPA Kettlesong will enroll students in grades K through 5 with the addition of grades 6 through 8.
