YORK, S.C. (CN2 NEWS) – The York County Sheriff’s Office released its 2021 year in review which shows Traffic Enforcement Unit leads the agency in citations and arrest.
The agency in 2021 wrote 5,087 citations. Of that 2,065 were written by Traffic Enforcement which is 40.5% of all citations written.
Of warnings issued, 5,742 were written and of those 1,477 were written from the Traffic Enforcement Agency which is 25.7%
By the end of 2021, the agency made 157 DUI arrest with 33 of those being made by the Traffic Enforcement Unit (21% of arrests).
