POWER OF THE PURSE

Most would agree when a group of female leaders get together virtually anything is possible and that’s what those with the pathways community center were hoping at the inaugural power of the purse women in philanthropy event held on this Thursday at the Brakefield at river walk.
Speaker Kathy Izard was invited to share her story of how she went from being a graphic designer who volunteered at a Charlotte homeless shelter to a woman behind an effort to get more than 800 of Charlotte’s homeless off the street.
Leaders with pathways hope the message was heard loud and clear here in rock hill as pathways works towards opening it’s doors.
