Chester County Council postpone proposed development

CHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (CN2 NEWS) – Proposed rezoning plans that could bring more than 1,400  homes to some areas in Chester County back on the table after being put on hold in 20-22. But again there’s some reprieve for those against the development.

Chester County Council had its first readings Monday night for zoning changes that could bring 400 home lots on Gaston Farm Road and more than 1,100 home lots connecting to Lewisville High School Rd, Hwy 9, and Sloan Road.

After many residents spoke out against the plans, council decided to postpone all readings for both developments to the council’s May 1st meeting.

Council leaders say in the mean time there will be a workshop with the new county administrator to talk about concerns voiced at the meeting and discuss development agreement fees.
