2023 WhatWorksSC Award announces finalists

YORK, S.C. (CN2 News) – Parenting Partnerships and Family Resource Center in York County has been named among four top 2023 Dick and Tunky Riley or WhatWorkSC Award finalists.

The WhatWorksSC Award is named after former United States Secretary of Education and two-term South Carolina Governor, Richard Wiley, and his late wife, Tunky.

The award is presented to a program that is making a positive impact on public education in South Carolina. The award is presented by Furman University’s Riley Institute.

Parenting Partnerships is an initiative to provide parents with the education, information, and resources to meet the developmental needs of their children.

This program emphasizes the parent’s role as being their child’s first teacher.

The event will be held on November 7th at the Metropolitan Convention Center in Columbia, South Carolina.
