Two sisters celebrate being homeowners thanks to Habitat for Humanity, and that’s not the best part!

YORK, S.C. (CN2 NEWS) – Thanks to Habitat for Humanity of York County two sisters are living the American dream. Better yet, they’ll be neighbors!

The Douglas sisters accepted keys to their new homes on Pinckney Street in York where everyone in the family will have a place to grow and develop memories.

Habitat celebrated the homes with support from 16 area faith groups and more than 9 Beloved Community organizations.

The Catawba Regional Council of Governments donated the 80 Pinckney Street lot in memory of Robby Moody a faithful Habitat volunteer for many years.

The other house is located at 73 Pinckney Street. The two homes are just a stone’s throw from one another – allowing the sisters to live close to each other.
