One Victim Linked to Overnight Shooting in Fort Mill

FORT MILL, S.C. (CN2 NEWS) – The Fort Mill Police Department says one person has been shot after a shooting overnight on Bozeman Drive in Fort Mill.

Detectives say they notified of the 22 year old victim who was found at Gold Hill Emergency Department with a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

Authorities say there is no known threats to the public.

Fort Mill Police Report:

At approximately 7:08pm on November 28, 2022, officers of the Fort Mill Police Department were dispatched to Bozeman Drive, in the city limits of Fort Mill, SC, in reference to the report of gunshots heard in that area.

A short time later officers were notified by personnel at the Gold Hill Emergency Department of a patient at their facility with a gunshot wound. Officers responded to the medical facility and identified a 22-year-old male subject with nonlife threatening injuries. Officers determined the shooting incident occurred on Bozeman Drive in Fort Mill. Investigators responded to Bozeman Drive and began processing the scene and attempting to identify witnesses.

Little information is known about possible suspects at this time.

It is believed that this is an isolated incident that occurred in an area outside the residence and there is no immediate danger to the public.

The victim was transported to a regional hospital for additional treatment.

The investigation is ongoing.
