A Burden to Carry

ROCK HILL, S.C. (CN2) The tradition started years ago by a Rock Hill police officer. The preacher of Aldersgate United Methodist Church supported it.

Every year, on Good Friday, members still walk around 3 miles in Rock Hill carrying a wooden cross on their shoulders.

The man who started the tradition was unable to attend this year, and the preacher couldn’t be there either.

But as CN2’s Indira Eskieva found, for congregants – it’s a burden they were happy to carry.
