YC Senator Climer Hopes the Repeal of the Certificate of Need Passes This Week

ROCK HILLL, S.C. (CN2 NEWS) – A piece of legislation York County Senator Wes Climer hopes will get passed by next week – is the repeal of the Certificate of Need.
Climer helped to introduce this bill – it was among the first items to be debated by the South Carolina Senate in the Fall of 2021.
Climer says the Certificate of Need is a government permission slip for anyone who wants to invest in healthcare.
Governor Henry McMaster is now calling for the repeal of the Certificate of need adding. “It stifles entrepreneurship, capital investment and competition.”
