Watts Huckabee Wins Special Election

ROCK HILL, S.C. (CN2 NEWS) – York County Council District 6 holding a special election Tuesday evening and Republican Watts Huckabee was declared the winner. He beat Democrat Ryan Stephens, the final numbers: 1317 votes to 711. After the votes are certified he will sit on County Council, the seat previously held by Brandon Guffey who is now representing at the Statehouse in Columbia.

Huckabee told a crowd of supporters he appreciates all their time and support and looks forward to serving. He adds he’s been involved with the community for 32 years but not in a public way, so while this will be different, he excited for the opportunity.
