The Voice of the District

ROCK HILL, S.C. (CN2 NEWS) She’s known as the voice of the Rock Hill School District.  For 35 years, when you called the school district, you expected a kind voice on the other line to say, “This is Shelby.”

Shelby Sapp is retiring after being with the district for more than four decades.  She started as a receptionist for a local school before moving on to be a receptionist for the district for the last 35 years.  It’s not just Sapps’ tenure that’s impressive.  Her friends and co-workers say Sapp was also a wonderful friend.

Sapp says she truly loved her job with the district, and if she could, she would never retire.  She says her health is the reason she’s stepping down now.

CN2 News is proud to say Shelby Sapp is our latest Hometown Hero.
