Task Force Created to Help Solve Homicide Case of 20 Year old From May 2021

 

 

 

ROCK HILL, S.C. (CN2 NEWS) – Rock Hill Police say 20 year old Alexis Massey was found shot to death in Rock Hill a year ago this week, May 10th 2021.

Investigators say she was an innocent bystander.

According to police, around 11:30 PM officers were called to Hagins Street for the homicide of Alexis Massey.

Police say Massey and others were attending a get together on Hagins Street.  While standing outside of the residence, multiple gun shots were fired from the direction of West Moore Street.

Police say Alexis’ cause of death was a gunshot wound.

On this Monday, the Alexis Massey Task Force was created. It is made up of local and state agencies.

Rock Hill Police Chief, Chris Watts says they believe a Nissan Versa, possibly a 2010 to 2014 model, black, is possibly involved in the shooting.

A $5,000.00 reward is also being offered by the ATF for information that leads to an arrest and prosecution in the case.

Alexis Massey was a 2019 graduate of South Point High School.

She moved to Spartanburg where she owned a successful hair studio called Bless by Lexxx.

Her family shared Massey had hopes to do even more, like build and remodel houses.

The family and investigators of Alexis are asking people who may know something to come forward so they family can have closure.
