Vaughn says after investigating, all information leads to Outen had a medical emergency which caused him to run off the road.

One student was injured and transported to the hospital for a thorough examination but appears stable, Vaughn says.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Safety and Transportation Office for the District are investigating.

10 students were on the bus at the time of the incident.
