Rock Hill Police Respond to an Armed Robbery at a 7-Eleven

ROCK HILL, S.C. (CN2 NEWS) This past Saturday, August 8, at 3:20 A.M. Rock Hill Police responded to a 7-Eleven on Cherry Road in response to an armed robbery.

While en route, deputies from the York County Sheriff’s Office, who were in the area, communicated that they had the robbery suspect in custody.

Rock Hill officers went to the store to speak with the 7-Eleven clerk — who said a black male wearing all black and an orange shirt on his head, entered the business and put a white cellphone up to the clerk’s head.

They say the male grabbed the clerk by the arm and forced the clerk over to the cash register. The male removed the cash from the register, also taking 2 packs of Newport cigarettes. The clerks says the male repeated, “don’t make me use a weapon on you.”

Officers were able to see video footage to confirm the suspect was the same person that York County Sheriff’s Deputies had in custody.

Based on the investigation, 25-year-old, Tyreck Emmanuel Green, of Rock Hill was charged with Armed Robbery.
