Rock Hill Police Make Arrest in Shooting of 18 Yr Old Sunday Night

 

ROCK HILL, S.C. (CN2 NEWS) Rock Hill Police have arrested 21 year old Kaliyah Alize Meeks of Rock Hill as the suspect in the shooting incident that police say took place on Sunday evening  in the parking lot of the apartment complex, Wildwood Springs.

Police say Meeks is charged with Assault and Battery of a High and Aggravated Nature and Discharging a Firearm into a Dwelling.

Detectives say Meeks turned herself in on April 27th and has a $100,000.00 bond for her charges.

Below are details from the incident.

Rock Hill Police say on Sunday, April 25th around 8:38 PM they were in the area of 110 Springdale Road when four or five gunshots were heard inside the Wildwood Springs apartment complex.

A short time after,  police say they were notified that a victim of the shooting had been taken to downtown Rock Hill and was being treated by EMS in the parking lot of 113 East Main Street.

Police say when they arrived on scene they found an 18 year old female victim being treated. Officers learned the shooting happened in the parking lot of the apartment complex.

The victim was taken to Piedmont Medical Center.
