Renee O’Neil Bio

Renee O’Neil is an award winning multimedia journalist with CN2 News.

Renee joined the CN2 team in March 2014. Prior to joining the team, Renee interned with CN2 her senior year of college at Carolina School of Broadcasting as well as WBTV News in Charlotte, North Carolina.

While interning she gained experience out in the field and fell in love with reporting.

While still attending college she was hired at CN2 as a Commercial Producer.

A year later, a reporting position became available at CN2 and Renee jumped on it! She says everyday since has been an adventure! Renee truly enjoys making a difference and being invested in the people’s lives she encounters during her stories.

Renee has covered everything from presidential and local elections, the growing concerns of the homeless population in the Tri-County, as well as the deadly Fentanyl epidemic.

While she’s not covering the headlines of the day, she’s also producing and hosting CN2’s weekly lifestyle show, CN2 Today.

When Renee is not working she enjoys spending time with her husband, David, their son, Dawson, family and friends. Renee also enjoying attending church, trying out new restaurants and camping in her family’s camper!

Renee is originally from Chester County and is proud to call Rock Hill her home.
