Rachel Richardson is originally from Columbia, S.C. and relocated to Rock Hill for school. She attended Winthrop University and has a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism. It was during her time in school that she fell in love with the journalism craft and giving people in the community a voice. In college, she also had the opportunity to study journalism and human resource management in London, England at Kingston University. She valued this experience because of the people that she got the chance to meet and the unique skills she learned.
After college, Rachel started work as a digital marketer in Fort Mill, S.C. Previously, she completed a news internship at WIS News 10 in Columbia. She was a staff writer at her college’s newspaper The Johnsonian and she was an anchor and reporter for “Winthrop Close Up”.
Rachel is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.. In her spare time, Rachel enjoys the arts. She likes to paint and sculpt. Rachel also loves to travel, watch movies and bake treats!
