Pharmacies Working To Continue Filling Prescriptions During COVID-19

ROCK HILL, S.C. (CN2 NEWS) As the Coronavirus pandemic continues more people are stocking up on supplies including prescriptions. A smaller pharmacy chain in our area saying when the virus first hit they got higher call volumes from patients looking to make sure they have the medications they need.

COVID-19 has affected many business markets nationwide pharmacies no exception. Many patients concerned about getting prescriptions. In our area leaders from Carolina Pharmacy say they were no exception.

“We had more than our average number of phone calls coming in for folks requesting refills so that patients could stock up on medication,” says Carolina Pharmacy’s Health Care Business Manager, Kavel Bhathela.

To protect their staff and customers the pharmacy transitioned to drive through and delivery orders only. Staff and customers saying they were surprised by the ease of the transition.

CN2’s Rachel Richardson is speaking with Carolina Pharmacy about how they’re coping with the Coronavirus and continuing to put their customers needs and safety first.
