New Duke Energy Siren Test – No Sound Expected

TRI-COUNTY, S.C. (CN2 NEWS) – Today between 11 AM and 1 PM Duke Energy and county officials will host their Quarterly siren tests throughout the area. However, you will NOT hear the siren test today!

They explain today’s siren test is NOT a full volume test and will not last 3 minutes as has been done for years.

The test today is the first time Duke Energy is using a “Growl Test.” A growl test tests all of the components of the system but will generate very little sound.
