My Ride Transit Service On Modified Scheduled Starting Sunday, March 22nd

ROCK HILL, S.C. — The city of Rock Hill is making changes to its My Ride transit service to keep riders and employees safe.

The city is taking direction from the Federal Transit Administration, SC Department of Health and Environmental Control and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and closely monitoring the situation.

Beginning Sunday, March 22nd, My Ride will operate on a modified schedule until further notice.

  • Sunday service is suspended until further notice.
  • Route 1 – Downtown/Knowledge Park Loop is suspended every day until further notice.
  • My Ride Direct para transit service will follow the modified fixed-route service, operating in the areas of Routes 2, 3 and 4 with no Sunday service until further notice. Para transit appointments are to be limited to essential travel such as work, healthcare appointments, pharmacy and grocery shopping.
  • Route 2 – Saluda/Heckle, Route 3 – Cherry/Riverwalk and Route 4 – Dave Lyle/Galleria will operate on normal schedule 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

The city is cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces. It’s asking riders to practice social distancing while riding and leaving as much space as possible between other riders. Wash your hands regularly and cover your coughs.

Don’t take the bus if you are not feeling well. Stay at home.

“We are concerned for the health, safety and well-being of our passengers, drivers and the general public during this time,” Mayor John Gettys said.  “We recognize that My Ride transit plays a critical role in our community and many people rely on services daily. We plan to reestablish regular service as soon as is feasible.”
