Motorcyclist Killed In 2-Vehicle Crash On Memorial Day

ROCK HILL, S.C. — A motorcyclist is dead after he struck a car in Rock Hill on Memorial Day.

Around 7 p.m. on Monday, 28-year-old Michael O’ Donnell was driving a 2006 Yamaha motorcycle on Lesslie Highway where he struck a 2001 Chevrolet that turned left in front of him.

O’Donnell was ejected and was pronounced dead on scene. The driver of the car was injured and transported by EMS to Piedmont Medical Center.

The motorcyclist was said to have been wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

South Carolina Highway Patrol and the York County Coroner’s Office are investigating this incident.
