Lawmakers Announce More Than $30 Million In Federal Grant To Support Panthers Development Project

ROCK HILL, S.C. — It’s not a small number. More than $30 million in federal money is going towards an interchange in Rock Hill to help the Carolina Panthers development project.

U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham announced $34.6 in grant money to support the Panthers headquarters.

The money is coming from the U.S. Department of Transportation.

SCDOT will construct a new interchange at exit 81, that leaders say will drive economic development in the region, facilitate expansion along the I-77 corridor and promote the safety of the region by addressing the increase in traffic.

The senator says he wants to thank and congratulate all the state and local officials who worked tirelessly to help fulfill the Panthers’ vision of ‘Two States, One Team.’
