Local Pharmacy Sees Decreased Demand for COVID Vaccines

ROCK HILL, S.C. (CN2 NEWS) The demand and desire for a COVID-19 vaccine seems to be slowing down here in the Tri-County according to pharmacists.

Carolina Pharmacy in Rock Hill says it has plenty of vaccines for those who want it.

It is even having to sadly throw out doses at the end of the day because no one is coming in to get a shot.

Carolina Pharmacy says at first they were administering about 24 vaccines a day, even having to turn people away. Now that number is down to about 5 a day.

They offer the Johnson and Johnson, Janssen and the Moderna vaccines.

Pharmacists say they aren’t quite sure why the demand has decreased, saying it could be a number of things, fear of the vaccines or false information regarding safety or some people simply do not want it.

Carolina Pharmacy has appointments 5 days a week, all throughout the day. If you would like to schedule an appointment, visit: https://carolinapharmacy.com/ and click on Vaccine Scheduler at the top of the page.

Pharmacists say if you have concerns or questions about the vaccine to simply call them, they will answer any concerns. (866) 846-8809
