Indira Eskieva is originally from Russia, but relocated to Charlotte with her family in 2003.
She attended school in Charlotte until the eighth grade before moving back to Russia with her family in 2010. It was during this time in her life that Indira realized how big and diverse the world is. The experience is one of the reasons Indira fell in love with journalism.
After graduating from high school, Indira moved back to Charlotte to attend college. Before coming to CN2 News in January of 2016, she interned at numerous stations in the Charlotte area, and was the staff writer at the campus newspaper The Niner Times.
Indira’s favorite part about working in the Tri-County area are the incredible people she gets to meet (southern hospitality is a real thing!) and the scenic drives.
Indira speaks both English and Russian fluently. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a degree in Communication Studies. She also holds an A.A.S in Business Administration.
