House Seat 43 – Was Election Conducted Legally?

CHESTER/YORK, S.C. (CN2 NEWS) –  The South Carolina GOP Executive Committee will be meeting to decide whether the SC House Seat 43 election was conducted legally.

This meeting comes after contesting candidate Mark Corral lost out to Randy Ligon on June 6, 2022. The final results – Ligon taking the District seat by 141 votes.

Mark Corral said, “We need to be able to give the public the confidence that this election was safe and secure and in compliance with all applicable laws, and unfortunately given these circumstances and the information we have, we can’t give them that confidence. And that’s why we’re seeking to have a remedy which would be a reelection.”
