Former Chester County Sheriff Arraigned On More Federal Charges

CHESTER COUNTY, S.C. — Former Chester County Sheriff Alex Underwood and two of his deputies stood before a judge this Tuesday to be arraigned on more federal charges.

The US Attorney General’s Office says the men were engaged in financial fraud while employed by the Chester County Sheriff’s Office.

These charges are in addition to earlier indictments saying the men tried to cover up an unlawful arrest.

Camera’s were not allowed inside of the federal courtroom in Columbia – but Cn2’s Indira Eskieva was there – and she has more on what happened inside in the video above.
