Dana’s Bakery Is Open And Ready To Serve A True Taste Of Italy

YORK, S.C. — The last two weeks have been tough for small businesses, especially those who haven’t been open for long.

The good news is Dana’s Bakery in historic York is open and serving customers.

The bakery sits on East Liberty Street and is owned by Dana Fernandez.

But don’t let the name fool you. They don’t just bake.

Dana and her mom Rose are Italian Americans from Brooklyn, New York.

They make fresh meatballs and homemade take-and-bake pasta dishes. Have you ever tried their delicious baked ziti?

Dana says the key is a good cheese sauce. They use five different cheeses in their recipes.

Dana’s dining room is open for service. To follow guidelines, they have a very limited number of tables available. Those tables are open on a first come first serve basis.
