Chester County School District Announces New Superintendent

CHESTER, S.C. — The Chester County School District Board of Trustees has announced its new superintendent.

Dr. Antwon Sutton – who was one of three finalists for the postion – took the offer to be the next Superintendent of the Chester County School District.

Dr. Sutton presently serves as the Executive Director of Students in the Fort Mill School District.

He also has served as a principal in schools in Richland County, York County and Berkeley County.

The Board of Trustees felt that Dr. Sutton exemplified the qualifications that many community groups had felt were essential for the next superintendent.

He’s replacing Dr. Angela Bain who has already announced her retirement. Her last day will be the end of June.
