Celebrating Its 35th Anniversary Catawba Nuclear Station Hold a Giving Challenge

 

YORK COUNTY, S.C. (CN2 NEWS) Despite the coronavirus pandemic, employees at Catawba Nuclear Station rose to the challenge to support York County neighbors in need through their participation in the station’s 35th Anniversary Giving Challenge.

Altogether, employees collected close to 19,000 items that were donated to 34 York County nonprofit organizations.

Items and charities ranged from blankets and space heaters for clients of the York County Council on Aging, to canned goods and hygiene items for shelters and food pantries.

Throughout 2020, The Catawba Nuclear Station celebrated the fact it has been powering the Carolinas since 1985.
