Budget Could Help Increase Resource Officers

York County, S.C. (CN2 News) – Across the country lawmakers are looking at ways to increase security in schools.  A provision being considered in this Thursday’s budget on the senate floor in South Carolina could place more resource officers in schools across the state.

Senator Mike Fanning says 1 in 3 members of law enforcement nationally are considering retirement, so If it passes it could give those officers the option of becoming resource officers.
