OCT 30, 2009: ROCK HILL, SC -- A breast cancer survivor who won a makeover contest says she is now excited to look in the mirror.
Priscilla Thompson was all smiles and the talk of the shop at Kenneth Schuler's Rock Hill School of Cosmetology this afternoon. Her daughter Ashley Good, a student at the school, nominated her for the business' makeover contest and Thompson won.
The top prize included not only a new hairdo and styling, but also a manicure, pedicure, facial and hand massage. Thompson believes the makeover is just what she needed.
"Whenever you have something like this did, it makes you feel better about yourself," admitted Thompson. "Like you said, it makes you maybe go out, have fun you know, something that I don't never get to do."
The makeover contest was done as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Thompson is a two year breast cancer survivor.
