OCT 1, 2009: ROCK HILL, SC -- A local lawyer, who also had a role in the movie 'The Patriot', now has one more occupation to add to his already impressive resume.
Charlie Burnette is now an author. He talked to CN2 News Thursday morning about his first novel, which is titled; "Manipulation By Degree".
The book is a murder mystery. A retired Winthrop University professor who reviewed the book says the story blurs the distinction between truth and fiction, right and wrong, and leaves you helplessly lost to save the righteous.
"At times the story is quite violent, I don't recommend it for kids under 17-years-old," said Burnette. "I don't recommend it to the faint-hearted, but if you like a hard charging, fast-paced story with unexpected consequences at every turn, this is your book."
"Manipulation By Degree" can be purchased at most local book stores. Burnette says it was a real relief to have this first novel finally published. He says he's about 60% finished with his second book.
