Rob Jones is the CN2 Sports Director/Anchor. He comes to Rock Hill after working as a freelance sports reporter/producer with WSOC in Charlotte.
Before moving to the Carolina’s Rob held sports positions in Macon, GA, Atlanta, New Orleans, Birmingham and Chicago. He anchored the Big Ten Network’s signature show “Big Ten Tonight” , covered Super Bowl XXXIII (Falcons/Broncos), 1996 NBA Finals (Bulls/Sonics), 2003 NBA All-Star Game, 2001 & 2002 MLB Playoffs (Braves vs. Diamondbacks & Giants), Chick-fil-A Bowl (Clemson/Auburn), NASCAR and more. Rob is looking forward to bringing his experience, passion, energy and knowledge to the tri-county area.
Rob is a Chicago native and really big fan of the Bulls, Bears, Cubs and deep-dish pizza.
Rob has a BA in Broadcast Journalism from Columbia College in Chicago. He and his family reside in Charlotte.
