Laurabree Monday

Laurabree Monday became part of the CN2 news team in July of 2008. She is thrilled to be heading up such a dedicated news organization that is committed to the tri-county area. Laurabree says CN2 is exactly what news should be about - an outlet for people to learn about each other and share what's happening in their communities through strong storytelling.

Since her arrival Laurabree is very proud to say CN2's Newscast has been nominated as Best Newscast (Division 2) by the Radio Television Digital News Association of the Carolinas (2009).

She was selected as a member of the 2009-2010 Leadership York County class. Laurabree is also a member of the York County Professional Business Women's Association.

Prior to being brought in as News Director/Anchor, Laurabree worked for WSAZ in Charleston, WV. The top rated NBC affiliate was just one of a number of stops on her journalism journey.

Laurabree also spent time as a Reporter and Anchor for KAMR/KCIT in Amarillo , Texas . Before that, she was a Producer and General Assignment Reporter for KAMC/KLBK in Lubbock. Laurabree began her career working in radio for WLTW in NYC.

Winner of the 2006 AP Award for Best Reporter in West Virginia, Laurabree has covered major national news stories such as the Sago Mine disaster. She has also reported on many national, state and local political campaigns including several Presidential and Gubernatorial races. However, her most memorable stories are the ones that show the strength of the human spirit.

Laurabree is originally from New Jersey and graduated from Indiana University with a double major in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science . Her husband Keith is a meteorologist for WSOC-TV in Charlotte and the two are excited to call South Carolina home.
