John Walker
John lives in Monroe, North Carolina...But was raised in Marshville, a small town about 11 miles away.
He is married to Julie and they have two sons-Jason and Justin.
John earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of Iowa in 1978. He joined the ROTC while at Iowa and became a commissioned officer in the Air Force a few months after completing college. John obtained a master degree in Administration in 1984 while in the Air Force. He voluntarily took the 15-year retirement in 1996 and ended his career as a Major after serving nearly 18 years.
He graduated from the Carolina School of broadcasting in July 1997 and started as a reporter for CN2 news in August 1997. John enjoys reading, fiction writing, pick-up basketball games and fishing.
