Dianne Gallagher joined CN2 in 2006 as a general assignment reporter. She found her way to CN2 after a brief flirtation with graduate school back in the United Kingdom and internships at Fox Charlotte and WFJA radio.
During her time here, Dianne has been a reporter, anchor and even handles the occasional sportscast. She’s interviewed celebrities, professional athletes, all of the 2008 presidential candidates---but her favourite stories usually involve everyday citizens making a difference in their communities. Lucky for Dianne, she’s met plenty of hometown heroes in the tri-county area. Dianne has won several journalism awards, including an RTNDA for her coverage of the 2006 mill fire in Great Falls.
Dianne is the proud daughter of a General and philanthropist. She grew up in the far corners of the world and speaks six languages. She attended UNCC and the University of Tennessee and graduated with an honours degree in English and Journalism.
Dianne enjoys playing, watching and talking about every sport with just about anyone (although she is partial to Vols and Heels fans). She loves calling the Carolinas home and always enjoys meeting new people. So please, if you see her out and about-- say hello (in any language)!
