Position Available:
Reporter / Photographer ~ Full-Time

Description:

CN2 is looking for a versatile employee who will be a team player and work closely with all segments of the newsroom, largely including web content. Responsible for shooting video for news stories. Must be a creative storyteller. Employee has to be able to enterprise news stories daily and work closely with the producer to put the story together in an interesting and informative way - with time constraints. Responsible for editing stories for final airing on daily newscast.

Reports to News Director.

Research stories, set-up interviews, schedule daily activities.

Travel to and from news stories and gather elements to tell the stories.

Shoot video, write scripts and edit your own stories each day.

Cover news when it happens and work under deadlines. 

Communicate clearly and work with production crew when needed during newscast taping.



Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree in journalism or related field preferred.

Experience in a television newsroom and working under deadlines a plus.

Must be proficient in news reporting and photography. 

Must be able to carry and operate DVC Pro Camera / JVC Digital HD Camera and various pieces of equipment.

Must be able to shoot and edit packages and vosot's.

Must have exceptional organizational, time management and interpersonal skills.

Must be a creative writer with sound news judgment and the ability to generate many story ideas.
